一概说说唱文艺日文叫“舌耕文芸”。“舌耕”是靠嘴巴子谋生之意。说唱文艺产生的社会条件,与近世小说等其他市民文学的情况大致相同,它是属于市民文艺这一范畴的。从广义说,平安朝的说话文学(如《今昔物語》)和中世的民间故事(如“御伽草子”),也可说是说唱文艺。本文所介绍的说唱文艺,是指流行在江户时代“町人”大众之间的评书(日文“講談”或“講釈”)、讲故事(日文“咄”)、相声(日文“漫才”)、单口相声(日文“落語”)等体裁的文艺。盯人是江户期发展起来的新兴阶级,是资产阶
