The etiology of primary pulmonary hypertension is still not well understood, but vasoconstriction mechanisms have been reported. Recently, the authors reported a case of hospitalized patients with primary pulmonary hypertension, the symptoms were significantly improved after treatment with azathione. The patient, 22 years of age, had a blood pressure of 100/82 mm Hg, a pulse of 68 beats per minute, a pulmonary jet but no other noise, and routine laboratory tests were in the normal range.
