Following last year’s “8.7” speech at Beidaihe, General Secretary Jiang Zemin visited China People’s University and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on April 28 and July 16 this year and delivered an important speech. In less than a year, General Secretary Jiang made three important speeches on the issue of developing and prospering our country’s philosophy and social sciences. This fully demonstrates that the third generation of the party’s central leading collective has made outstanding contributions to philosophy and social sciences
