“毛泽东同志论帝国主义和一切反动派都是纸老虎”这一重要的政治文献在“人民日报”上发表以后,全国掀起了学习的高潮,为了配合这个学习运动,我刊编辑部于11月20日组织了一次座谈会,邀请了工农兵学商各方面的同志来座谈自身的体会和学习的心得。在这次座谈会中,大家从亲身的体验,从不同的角度、不同的经历,认真、热烈地对这一政治文献的重大意义进行了讨论,使参加座谈会的每一个人都感到上了很生动、很好的一课。参加这次座谈会的有新近刚从朝鲜回国的最可爱的人——中国人民志愿军的将士和站在国防前哨的中国人民解放军的将士,他们之中有的是战斗英雄,有的是模范战士和青年积极分子。这些战士用毛泽东同志的伟大战略思想武装了自己,在国内解放战争中,击败了国民党反动派的几百万大军;在朝鲜战场上,和朝鲜人民一道,击败了以美国为主力的十六国联军。他们根据自已同美帝国主义斗争的亲身体验,以及现在重温毛泽东同志这一马克思列宁主义的论断后所获得的更深刻的新领会,在座谈会上纵横议论,雄姿英发。这种藐视敌人的无产阶级豪迈气概,真是美帝国主义是纸老虎的最有力的证人。参加座谈会的,还有工业战线上的战士。石景山钢铁厂工人同志的朴素的发言是很动人的。一个钢铁老工人,本着他和帝国主义者长期斗争的体会,明确地指出了帝国主义和一切反动派都是纸老虎这一实质。他在十多年前,对横行一时的日本帝国主义侵略者就有了这样的体会:“兔子尾巴长不了。”无论是石景山的钢铁工人同志或其他工人同志,发言中都表明他们在学习了毛主席这一重要文献后,更干劲冲天,信心百倍。参加座谈会的农民同志与在商业战线上工作的同志对于毛主席的理论也是体会得非常深刻的。他们掌握了这些理论,把它运用于解决具体问题,指导具体工作。理论一旦掌握了群众,就发生了物质的力量,又一次在他们身上得到了证明。他们也都表现了劲头十足,象冲锋一样工作,要在工作中把纸老虎整垮。学习毛泽东同志这一文献,已经产生了而且继续要产生不可估计的力量。这个力量产生在我们的工厂里,表现在我们工人同志的冲天干劲上,产生在我们的人民公社里,表现在我们农民同志的冲天干劲上,产生在我们人民解放军和志愿军的连队里,表现在我们人民解放军和志愿军战士昂扬的斗志上。这是座谈会的发言令人难忘的深刻印象,这也是参加座谈会的许多位理论工作者在发言中概括指出的体会。由于时间的限制,许多参加座谈会的同志,没有来得及在会上发言,还有许多同志准备了发言而临时因事未能出席座谈会,现在我们把他们的书面发言连同座谈会的发言纪录一并发表,以飨读者,同时向协助我们举办了这一极有意义的座谈会的每一同志致谢。

Together with the Korean people, they defeated the 16-nation coalition led by the United States on the Korean battlefield . On the basis of their own personal experience in the struggle with U.S. imperialism and now deeper re-understanding of Comrade Mao Tse-tung’s assertion of Marxism-Leninism, they talked and discussed at the forum in a straightforward manner. This boldness of proletarian despisement of the enemy is really the most powerful witness to the paper tiger being US imperialism.
