The Hydatid Disease Control Plan was implemented in Powys County, South Wales in April 1984. The main measures were to conduct on-site visits and free deworming for dogs. The results of the 1984-1985 survey showed that dogs were treated with praziquantel every 6 weeks for 1 year.
