历代名画记唐·张彦远著,十卷。彦远字爱宾,河东(治今山西永济西)人,乾符初(约公元874年)官大理寺卿。此书前三卷通论画学,并记述长安、洛阳两京和外州,寺观壁画,以及古书画的跋尾押署,宫廷和私人的收藏印记等。其论“六法”,强调立意和用笔;指出画风演变,因时而异;以顾恺之、陆探微为密体,张僧繇、吴道子为疏体;阐明书画用笔同法等,都有一定的见解。后七卷,系从轩辕时起至唐会昌元年(公元841年)间画家共三百七十人的小传。为存世同类著作的最早者,是研究中国古代画史的要籍之一。

The theory of “Six Laws” emphasizes conception and writing, points out the evolvement of the style of painting from time to time, takes Gu Kaizhi, Lu Bangwei as the dense body, Zhang Sengtai and Wu Daozi as the body, Have some ideas. After the seven volumes, from the Department of Xuanyuan time to Tang Huichang the first year (AD 841) a total of 380 artist’s biography. It is one of the most important books for studying the history of ancient Chinese painting.
