楸树自花不育,自然界中的楸树也很少结果,采用人工控制杂交育种,是培育楸树良种的有效途径通过对楸树杂交育种的系统研究,提出了楸树人工控制杂交育种新方法,通过人工杂交及子代测定,筛选出了表现优良的全同胞楸树家系.在此基础上,经超级苗选择,选出了楸树杂种超级苗(单株)29个.
