Objective: To investigate the value of 99mTc-TRODAT-1 SPECT dopamine transporter (DAT) imaging in the differential diagnosis of idiopathic tremor (ET) and early Parkinson’s disease (PD). Methods: 99m Tc-TRODAT-1-SPECTDAT imaging was performed in 9 ET, 14 early PD, 5 ET combined with PD (ET-PD) and 20 healthy individuals. Results: There was no significant difference in the ratio of ST / CB to DAT in ET patients compared with age and sex matched normal subjects (ST / CB) / CB significantly reduced. Conclusion: 99mTc-TRODAT-1 SPECT DAT imaging is helpful for the differential diagnosis of ET and early PD.
