Abstract Objective To compare the image quality and radiation dose of Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction (ASiR) and Filtered Reflection Reconstruction (FBP) for patients with body mass ≥91 kg. Methods In a retrospective study approved by the Institutional Review Board, 100 patients with a mass of 91 kg or more (91 to 181.9 kg, mean (107.6 ± 17.4) kg] underwent single-phase contrast-enhanced abdominal pelvic CT examination consisting of 2 The reader was double-blind for both subjective and radiometric dose-to-mass analysis of ASiR and FBP image quality, which was evaluated using subjectively standardized numerical simulations and objective noise.
