目前,我国儿童的日常食谱中蜂蜜的使用较少,在儿童食品的设计与配方中应用也不多。然而近三十年来,苏联已将蜂蜜普遍应用到儿童的日常饮食生活和保健中,并且有了丰硕的成果。苏联的经验很值得借鉴。斯克夫佐夫教授指出,留在人们口腔中的糖分经过细菌的作用变成了乳酸,由于酸性的侵蚀可使牙齿表面的钙质脱落,引起儿童龋齿。若用蜂蜜代糖,既有甜昧,又有丰富的营养,同时这些糖分内含抗菌剂,对口腔有保护作用。苏联的民间医术上就有用10%至15%的蜂蜜溶液漱口,来治疗牙齿、口腔和咽喉的疾病的。近二、三十年来又证明对于婴幼儿疾患也具有医疗价值。朱可娃教授对20名3.5至5岁的幼儿实验,每天以蜂蜜代糖供应,在炎热的夏季里没有一个孩子
