保定老调,又名老调梆子,俗称老调,是河北省具有悠久历史的汉族戏曲剧种之一。起初为白洋淀周边农村花会中的俗曲河西调,清道光、咸丰年间已具戏曲雏形。早期老调行当以生、净为主,而生、净两行又是分行不分腔,同唱老生调,故称老调。流行的地区较广,除河北保定外,在河北沧州、衡水、石家庄、邢台、邯郸、张家口以及北京、天津和山西部分地区都有它的足迹和影响。
