Bone marrow transplantation for the treatment of aggressive anti-leukemia without the risk of bone marrow toxicity may provide. The authors have reported intensive chemotherapy and radiotherapy in combination with bone marrow transplantation for the treatment of several leukemias, and the combined chemotherapy used in these cases has exerted the greatest efficacy and is considered to be advanced. Bone marrow donors are twin or HLA-matched siblings. Six of the 16 patients lost the same gene in bone marrow and 14 of 110 patients with allogeneic bone marrow remained remitted after 4 to 9 years. Allogeneic recipients included 54 patients with acute non-lymphocytic leukemia, 6 of whom survived 4-6 years after transplantation and had a well-infused bone marrow. The original half-log decreased survival and remission, and now the survival curve has a longer “Ping”, suggesting that these survivors were quite likely to be cured. Earlier studies by the authors found that cases with clinically favorable conditions had a much better chance of survival after bone marrow transplantation.
