我国大气科学研究60年来,从奠定近代气象科研开始,研究领域不断扩大,科研工作日益深化,并取得了许多优秀的研究成果,使得能在国际学术界具有较高的地位,对国民经济上不少重要问题作出了重要贡献,这些都与竺老历来的倡导、领导和他自己的亲自努力分不开.对我国气象业务建设和服务的发展也一样,回顾我国气象业务开创时期的艰辛,从事气象业务的同仁们,也深深怀念竺老的教导和作出的贡献.
