偶然发现一张中华民国二十年(1931年)四月十二日的《申报图画周刊》,在第三版上报导了中国营造学会与北京图书馆在中央公园来今雨轩联合举办的一次“圆明园文献遗物展览”。在这项展览会上不但展出了许多圆明园的残砖剩瓦,还展出有“九州请宴”、“泉石自娱”的烫样。从画刊上的一帧照片上看,那时的“远瀛观”虽已破败不堪,周围的残垣断壁仍依稀可见,许多雕刻精美的柱身还完整无损。经过几十年人为破坏,现已所剩无几。
Occasionally, a “Weekly Newspaper Application” was printed on April 12, 1931, the Republic of China. Judging from a picture in the picture book, the “distant view” was dilapidated at that time, and the ruins around it remained faintly visible. Many exquisitely carved columns were still intact. After decades of human destruction, there is not much left now.
