素质教育替代应试教育,应该说是历史的必然,近几年不断强化。要使这场新形势下中国教育历史上的重大变革早日收到成效,有待澄清的理论问题不少,尚需解决的实际问题更多。然而,构筑这场宏大工程的基本途径和落脚点都离不开各门学科的教学改革,这是因为即使是最早有成效的教育改革,如果不能使之进入深化到教学领域,那么,就不能达到提高教育水平和教学质量的目的。因此,笔者认为,我们的教育工作者,在从宏观上把握探讨由应试教育向素质教育转轨的诸多纲领性问题之外,也应根据各门学科的具体特点和不同要求。首先从教育思想和教学观念入手,去尝试由应试教育向素质教育转化的具体细则。笔者对别的科目不敢妄加揣度,只就自己多年的教学生涯的点点拙见,以期待抛砖引玉之效。
