3月8日,胡锦涛总书记在参加十届全国人大五次会议重庆代表团全体会议时指出,各级干部特别是领导干部,要进一步增强公仆意识,始终牢记全心全意为人民服务的宗旨。总书记对领导干部重申这一问题,是继他在中央纪委第七次全会上发表重要讲话之后,又一次对领导干部作风建设的郑重强调,这一告诫具有很强的现实针对性,对加强和改进领导干部作风具有重要的现实指导意义。
