随着国家对科技投入的不断增加,科研成果层出不穷,这就推动了我国的对外出版事业的发展,促进了对外科技交流。据悉,截止1992年底全国英文科技期刊已发展到116种,这说明我国的英文科技期刊已经走向布局合理,全面发展的轨道,同时也说明国内已拥有相当规模的科技英语编辑加工队伍。因此,对英文科技期刊的文字规范化问题,应予重视。为此,我们从编辑实践中总结了十几个典型的英语病句,对每个病句都给出了纠正方法;同时还总结分析了一些有代表性的书写不规范的段落。通过这些病句、段落的分析,以达到为英文科技期刊的文字编辑加工提供知识素材的目的。
With the increasing investment in science and technology by the state, scientific and technological achievements emerge in an endless stream, which has promoted the development of our country’s external publishing and promoted the exchange of science and technology with other countries. It is reported that by the end of 1992, the number of English technical journals in the country had grown to 116, indicating that our English science and technology periodicals have been moving toward a rational layout and an all-round development. At the same time, this also shows that there is a considerable scale of scientific and technological English editing and processing teams in China. Therefore, the text standardization of English scientific journals, should be given attention. To this end, we summarize a dozen typical English sentences from the editing practice and give corrective measures for each ill-posed sentence. At the same time, we also analyze and summarize some typical paragraphs that are not standardized in writing. Through the analysis of these ill-posed sentences and passages, we can achieve the purpose of providing the knowledge materials for the text editing and processing of English scientific journals.
