The 6th Annual Meeting of Metallurgical Economics Research was held in Beijing from July 18 to July 1990. A total of more than 90 people attended the meeting, including responsible key comrades from major steel enterprises, metallurgical departments (bureaus and head offices) of some provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, economic research departments of local backbone steel enterprises, and leading comrades of relevant departments of ministries and agencies. Qi Yuanjing, Minister at the opening, made a report entitled “Insisting on Developing Steel Industry Focusing on Improving Economic Benefit”.
