After World War II, the United States has become the world’s superpower. Not only is its political influence constantly rising, its influence on the world is becoming increasingly powerful, and its culture is exported around the world. Canada and the United States have the longest undefielded borders in the world. The two countries depend more on each other than any other sovereign country in history. However, the United States far outweighs Canada in terms of economic strength, political strength and cultural strength. As a result, Canada has long suffered from the infiltration of American culture. The cultural infiltration of the United States has had a negative impact on Canada. On the one hand, it threatens Canada’s cultural industry and the economy as a whole. On the other hand, it poses a challenge to Canada’s cultural identity and even its national identity. After realizing the negative impact of the U.S. cultural infiltration, the Canadian government has spared no effort in resisting this phenomenon.
