利用计算机收发传真是实现“无纸办公”的重要前提之一。现就传真卡软、硬件选择与设置介绍一些经验。 一、“无纸传真”概念 传真/调制解调器(Fax/Modem)与计算机(286,386,486,“奔腾”…)接驳,完成软硬件设置,就能使计算机具有传真机功能。其特点为:发传真时,Fax/Modem成为计算机缺省打印机(Default Printer),这样,在Windows环境下编辑的文件,可直接使用“打印”发送给指定传真机。收传真时,既可“手动接收”,也可“自动接收”。对方既可以是传统的传真机,也可以是相同的Fax/Modem系统。发送或接收的传真,均以图形方式存储在硬盘上,可随时浏览、修改或打印,传真的相关信息也被保存。这样就使得传真信息库的管理变得简单方便,同时省去打印拷贝等大量重复工作,这种“传真机”唯一的不足是无法发送已打印在纸上的表
