在全球海洋和大气相互耦合作用实验强化期观测之际,我们中国海洋代表团一行四人于1992年10月末,来到了位于澳大利亚东北部港口城市敦斯维尔的实验指挥中心,应邀参加了强化期观测的揭幕仪式,了解了指挥中心日常工作概况,聆听了指挥中心主任卡尔逊教授有关强化期观测情况的介绍,使我们进一步明确了这次强化期观测实验的目的意义和主要内容。
At the global intensification phase of ocean-atmosphere interaction testing, our delegation from China and Oceania came to the Experimental Command Center in Dunwell, a port city in Northeastern Australia, at the end of October 1992 and was invited to participate in the Intensification Observations at the opening ceremony, understanding of the command center daily work profile, listening to Professor Carlson director of the command center on the observation period of strengthening the presentation, so that we further clarify the significance of the strengthening of the observation period experiment and the main content.
