此件台山玉雕件质地细腻致密,滋润柔和,有着如田黄般的油脂感。雕刻师独具匠心和雅趣,采用高浮雕手法,生动地刻画出一副云遮雾绕、松石环抱的山林美景,正面雕刻着携童子探访友人的老者,一排石阶沿山势而上,山路尽头有几座楼阁半隐半现于山顶,颇有“只在此山中,云深不知处”之感。整个场景意境悠远,布局巧妙合理,充分表现了雕刻师精湛的艺术水平和深厚的文学功底,是一件值得收藏的台山玉艺术珍品。
