众所周知,现代水墨人物画发展及其所取得的成就都离不开学院教育。有关专业技艺、造型能力以及艺术思想观念的学习与培养,人们都可以通过学院教育得到全面而综合性的提升。历经大半个世纪所形成的中国画教育体系仍是一个不断革新与推进的过程,伴随这个过程人们对中国画大概念的认识与梳理也在不断地深化与延伸。就现代形态下的中国水墨人物画教育问题而言,虽然大多数命题都是与中国画的大概念捆绑在一起,但是有些问题对于人物画来说却是可以单独拿出、自设命题的——至少这些命题在其他中国画学科中不是一个紧要面对或相当棘手的问题,如写生与造型。
