Based on the distribution of iSchools members, their names, and their doctoral programs, we dissect the attributes of iSchools members in order to see the impact iSchools has on the information realm. The results show that the current 38 members of the iSchools mainly in the United States, throughout Europe, Asia and Australia, forming a global Alliance of Information Science, contribute to academic exchanges and cooperation. Furthermore, 12 of them (31.6%) came from ALA-accredited schools, with a high percentage of names, and many of them used the term information or information research alone. The traditional library science system is already outdated. As for the department’s performance, iSchools has a strong emphasis on the information field, with 65.8% of the department names starting with the word information and 97.4% of the department names covering the term information, obviously the information is dominant in this group. Finally, in terms of talent development, iSchools targeted advanced academic and research personnel in the field of information, and targeted senior executives in the business community. Doctoral programs and interdisciplinary courses focus on information and emphasize application of technology.
