在20世纪儒学所面临的诸多危机之中,最深刻的无过于知识者们对儒家社会伦理思想尤其是孝道思想所发动的攻击。破旧以立新,求变以富强,本是处于风雨交加的那一代知识者普遍而良好的愿望。但是对数千年间维系社会正常发展的孝道思想的批判,既造成了很长时间内社会生活的混乱与无序,也造成了国人心灵的浮动与困惑。作为现代新儒家三圣之一,马一浮先生构建了一个以六艺为归总,以孝道思想为核心的广大精微的学术思想体系。这既是对社会种种乱象做出的回应,也是在中国传统学术日趋没落的时代中试图将儒学推向现代、推向世界的一种努力。
Among the many crises confronting Confucianism in the 20th century, the most profound no-knowledgers attacked Confucian social ethics, especially the thought of filial piety. Dilapidated to establish a new, changeable to be rich and powerful, this is a universal and good desire of the generations of knowledgeable people in the stormy. However, the criticism of filial piety, which has been maintaining the normal development of the society for thousands of years, has not only created confusion and disorder in social life for a long period of time, but also caused the floating and confusion of the minds of Chinese people. As one of the three holies of modern Neo-Confucianism, Mr. Ma Yifu constructed a vast and subtle system of academic thought centered on Liuyi and filial piety. This is not only a response to various social chaos, but also an attempt to push Confucianism to the modern world and to the world in an era when Chinese traditional scholarship is declining.
