2016年2月,美国汉学家孔飞力离世,中国知识界反应较大,并且频繁提及他的经典作品《叫魂》。这本著作不仅在专业研究领域获得高度赞誉,而且在整个读书界影响卓著,甚至被许多人反复阅读。一本书,能被反复阅读,若不是出于某种实用因素,必然是出于文本自身的魅力。这种情况通常在文学作品的阅读中较常见。比如《红楼梦》被反复阅读,并不在于它的实用,而在于文本自身的价值。这种价值是通过叙述过程来实现的,而非某个具体的、实际的观点。
In February 2016, when American sinologist Kong Fei Li passed away, the Chinese intellectual community responded more and frequently mentioned his classic “Call the Soul.” Not only is this book highly acclaimed in the field of professional research, but it has also made a significant impact throughout the book industry and has been read many times by many. A book, can be read repeatedly, if not for some practical reasons, must be out of the charm of the text itself. This situation is usually more common in the reading of literary works. For example, “Dream of Red Mansions” was repeatedly read, not in its practical, but in the value of the text itself.
