The state has formulated a program for the development of women and children (2001-2010), guaranteeing women access to basic health care services, improving children’s health care services, and improving the health of women and children. Zhejiang Provincial People’s Government also issued two development programs for women and children from 2006-2010, clarifying the goals and direction of health work for women and children in the past five years and proposing higher and newer jobs for women and children in Zhejiang Province.
