课堂提问在英语教学中起着十分重要的作用。本文通过对贵州省某高校三个班连续两周的课堂观察和录音记录资料的分析,从问题类型、提问技巧以及提问后的等候时间三个方面探讨了当前大学英语教师的课堂提问情况。研究发现:(1)已知信息类问题是EFL课堂中教师提问的主要模式;(2)在学生听不懂问题的情况下,教师采用各种各样的提问技巧帮助学生理解问题;(3)教师在提问后没有给予足够的等待时间。
Classroom questions play an important role in English teaching. Based on the analysis of classroom observation and recording data of three classes of a certain university in Guizhou Province for two weeks, this paper discusses the current college English teachers’ questioning in class from three aspects: type of question, questioning skills and waiting time after questioning. The main findings are as follows: (1) Known information problems are the main mode of teacher questioning in EFL classroom. (2) When students do not understand the problem, teachers use a variety of question skills to help students understand the problem. ) The teacher did not give enough waiting time after questioning.
