新李1号是以抗寒品种跃进李为母本，西瓜李为父本杂交育成。在新疆奎屯地区年平均气温6．5℃，1月份平均气温—16．2℃，绝对低温—35．3℃的气候条件下栽植，表现抗寒性强，连年开花结果。果实绿黄覆鲜红色霞，中大，品质优。成熟期比绥棱红早7—10天。结果早，丰产稳产。1994年9月通过新疆农作物品种审定委员会审定，命名为新李1号。
