19世纪后期,美国文学由传统向现代风格转变。亨利.詹姆斯对美国文学的现代主义转向起到了不可忽视的推动作用。其代表作品《布莱庄园的怪影》风格独特,具有浓郁的现代气息。小说通过深入刻画人物精神世界来揭示生活本质的创作思想,加之独特的叙事内容与形式,使这部小说具有了独特的审美价值。在此从心理现实主义的创作思想、神秘的哥特式风格、有限的叙事视角,以及语言的视觉化特征分析了亨利.詹姆斯《布莱庄园的怪影》的创作特色。
In the late 19th century, American literature changed from traditional to modern style. Henry James played an important role in promoting the modernist turn of American literature. Its representative work “Breguet’s strange shadow” unique style, with a rich modern flavor. By deeply depicting the spiritual world of characters to reveal the essence of life, the novel’s unique content and form make the novel unique in aesthetic value. Here we analyze the creative features of Henley James “Strange Scenes in Bray Manor” from the psychology of realistic creation, the mysterious Gothic style, the limited narrative perspective, and the visual features of language.
