以前我和家长谈媒介,主要谈的是电视、儿童读物、卡通、录音带等。但1993年以后,我发现,家长谈计算机的突然多了起来,后来从《光明日报》了解到,在1993年间,家庭电脑增长了80%。近两年,购买计算机的家庭数目大幅度增加,据统计,1995年已达每千人拥有2.5台。现在,许多买和还未买的家长都在谈论计算机的问题。谈计算机,也谈教育和娱乐软件、电子出版物,甚至网络。一些家长逐渐认识到,仅有计算机是不够的,除了系统软件和必要的应用工具软件外,家庭计算机还应该有一些教育、娱乐软件、电子出版物或网络信息,否则,计算机可能是个“空壳”。所以,在这篇文章中,我想主要谈谈教育、娱乐软件。
I used to talk about media with parents, mainly talking about television, children’s books, cartoons, audio cassettes and so on. But after 1993, I found out that when parents talked about computer suddenly, they learned from Guangming Daily that in 1993, the number of home computers had increased by 80%. In the past two years, the number of households purchasing computers has risen sharply. According to statistics, in 1995 it had reached 2.5 per 1,000. Many parents who buy and have not bought are talking about computers now. Talk about computers, talk about educational and entertainment software, electronic publications, and even networks. Some parents come to realize that computer alone is not enough.
