魏斯曼(Weismann,A.)是19世纪末叶一位杰出的生物科学家。他在达尔文学说的基础上,概括了当时生物科学的研究成果和他自己的试验资料,对生物的遗传、变异和进化提出一连串的设想和解释,于1892年创立了种质学说(germplasm theory)。这一学说对于生物科学的发展,特别是染色体遗传学的发展起了十分重要的推动作用。
Weismann (A.) was an outstanding biological scientist in the late 19th century. Based on Darwin’s theory of literature, he summarized the research results of the biological sciences at that time and his own experimental data. He proposed a series of ideas and explanations for the inheritance, variation, and evolution of living things. In 1892 he founded the Germplasm Theory. . This doctrine has played a very important role in the development of biological sciences, especially the development of chromosome genetics.
