中华古乐,向有十大名曲一说。这十大古代名曲是:先秦的琴师伯牙的《高山流水》;汉魏时期嵇康的《广陵散琴曲》;明朝的《平沙落雁》;古曲《梅花三弄》:楚汉战争时期的《十面埋伏》;古乐曲《夕阳箫鼓》(后编成丝竹乐曲《春江花月夜》;历代传谱的《渔樵问答》;汉未蔡文姬的《胡笳十八拍》;汉代的《汉宫秋月》;春秋时晋国师旷的《阳春白雪》。据专家考证,这些古代名曲的原始乐谱大都失传,今天流传的不少谱本都是后人伪托之作。但被历代乐师冠以十大古曲名。
