据2004年全国教育事业发展统计公报,全国共有初中学校63757所(其中职业初中697所),在校生6527．51万人。初中少先队员正处于少年向青年过渡的时期,在他们思想道德成长的这一重要阶段,进行少先队的组织教育是必不可少的。中学少先队担负着配合学校教育教学工作,引导初中队员巩固、发展小学少先队教育成果,完成好少年向青年的过渡,为共青团组织的发展打下良好基础的重要任务。
According to the Statistical Communique on the Development of Education in 2004, there are 63,757 middle and junior high schools in the country (including 697 vocational junior high schools) with 65,275,100 students enrolled. Junior Pioneers in junior high schools are in a period of transition from youth to youth.
