本文旨在指出薄冰教授在其编著的《高级英语语法》一书中说的“there be结构在英语里是一种常见的特殊句子结构……它像是一种倒装句,但又非倒装句”和“there be结构也是倒装句”的自相矛盾的说法,并赞成大多数英语语法研究者认为的there be结构里的there是主语(语法主语),从而确定there be结构的语序是自然语序,而不是倒装语序,即there be结构(/分句/句子)不是倒装句。
