近代大连自建市起,就是殖民地性质的资本主义城市。城市人口的多样性和移民性,带来了城市多元的文化特征,它极大地影响了大连城市的起步与建设,以及经济社会发展乃至于其近现代化进程。外来建筑活动和建筑审美,反映了大连城市建设的移民城市性质,这些建筑文化鲜活地体现了农耕文明与海洋文明的碰撞、吸纳和包容,一定程度上反映了那个时代科技进步的文化内涵。
Since the establishment of modern city of Dalian, it is a colonial capitalist city. The diversity and immigration of the urban population bring about the multi-cultural characteristics of the city. It has greatly affected the starting and construction of the Dalian city, as well as the economic and social development as well as its modernization. The external architectural activities and architectural aesthetics reflect the nature of the immigrant cities in Dalian’s urban construction. These architectural cultures vividly reflect the collision, absorption and inclusion of farming civilization and marine civilization, and to a certain extent reflect the cultural connotation of scientific and technological progress in that era.
