介绍印度图书出版业现状,指出印度出版业市场需求巨大,畅销书长盛不衰。长期以来,印度社会已形成一种爱读书看报的良好气氛。但该行业在迎来新的发展机遇的同时,也面临不少挑战。印度虽然是仅次于美国和英国的第三大英文图书出版国,但其外销图书在世界图书市场所占份额不足3%。总体上看,印度出版业无论是出版还是发行基本停留在传统阶段。
Describes the status quo in India’s book publishing industry, pointing out that there is a huge demand for the publishing industry in India. For a long time, Indian society has formed a good atmosphere for reading and reading newspapers. However, the industry faces many challenges while ushering in new opportunities for development. Although India is the third largest publisher of English books after the United States and Britain, its export books account for less than 3% of the world’s book market. In general, the publishing industry in India has basically stayed at the traditional stage both in publishing and distribution.
