去年九月,京郊碧空无云,秋高气爽。沃野五谷黄金,香飘万里,一派丰收景象。在这样的季节,我有幸跟随张先生重访了扁担窝遗址。说来也巧,这次复查是由一个偶然的机缘促成的。一天,标本室给张先生送来几件石器标本,只见上面写有“LOC.25”字样。看笔迹,颇似贾兰坡教授当年的手迹,于是求教贾老。贾老肯定地告诉我们:这是西扁担窝的东西!接着,我们又查阅了有关文献,得知该遗址的概况。西扁担窝系一洞穴,位于周口店以西约8公里的松树窑村附近的山上。当地还有一个叫东扁担窝的,二者分别在遥遥相对的两山坡上。这两个洞,传说是二郎神担山赶太阳插扁担的地方。洞穴是贾老1935年秋发现的,大约在1958年前后,将出土有石器的西扁担窝编为周口店第25地点(LOC.25)。从
