我省柑桔产量很大,不论外贸内销均占重要位置。但几年来在运输贮藏过程中腐烂损耗相当严重,例如1972年一批出口夏橙,在采果后不到15天的贮运期中,腐烂率竟达60%;从1970—1973三年中,某单位为应城市供应贮存的蕉柑,年平均损耗达45%。此外,在本省所有的冷藏库还出现一种通称“水肿”的柑桔贮藏病变,损耗也很大。这些情况已引起各方面的重视。还有,各冷藏库对我省主要柑桔品种的贮藏适温意见仍有分歧。针对上述三个问题,我们到四川向柑桔研究所等单位学习之后,于1972年冬至1974年春在学院进行了一系列
