1981年8月13日,内蒙古自治区丰镇县发生一次5.8级地震。震中在东经113°26′,北纬40°30′,即在该县的元山子公社附近。震源深度18公里,震中区面积约200平方公里,震中宏观烈度6～7度。这次地震有感范围较大,东至北京、张家口,南至太原,西至包头、伊盟达旗、乌盟的四子王旗北至集宁,共约24多万平方公里的范围。
On August 13, 1981, a magnitude 5.8 earthquake occurred in Fengzhen County, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The epicenter was at 113°26′ east longitude and 40°30′ north latitude, near the Yuanshanzi Commune in the county. The focal depth is 18 kilometers, the epicenter area is about 200 square kilometers, and the epicenter’s macro-intensity is 6 to 7 degrees. The quake has a wide range of sensations ranging from Beijing to Zhangjiakou in the east to Taiyuan in the south, Baotou in the west, Yimengda in the west, Siziwang Banner in the north of Urumqi to Jining, a total of about 24 million square kilometers.
