在汉语里面,“万”字有形容很多和极、很等意思。对于我们每个现代人来说,要加强自己的人格修养,做一个道德品质高尚、有知识有文化、高素质的人,就要读万卷书、走万里路、经万件事、师万人长、拓万丈胸。读万卷书。莎士比亚说过:书籍是人类不可缺少的营养品,生活里没有书籍,就像没有阳光,智慧里没有书籍,就像鸟儿没有翅膀。书是人类进步的阶梯。读书可以陶冶人的情操,丰富精神生活,提高人的文化品位,提升人的精神境界。
