Experimental Study on Hypoglycemic Effects of Sargassum and Carrageenan To screen algae drugs for diabetes treatment and appropriate collection seasons, five different month groups of Rattus vulgaris and Carrageenan were used to establish a mouse model of alloxan-induced diabetes. The effects were observed and red ginseng was used as a positive control. The results showed that the blood glucose levels of alloxan and carrageenan groups and alloxan-model mice were significantly lower than the blanks.
