讨论了公共图书馆馆员的结构现状和在知识经济时代中的差距,提出在提高馆员综合素质的同时更应该从馆员自身知识素质结构(包括计算机、网络等知识)出发,提高馆员外语水平,提高文献检索能力;同时培养馆员的职业道德的理念,才能真正为社会、科研、读者提供最优质的服务等问题.
