宋美龄喜欢吃蔬菜,尤其是素有“蔬菜之王”美誉的菠菜,更是每餐食用。在南京生活期间,她曾委派几名医生前往紫金山的一家研究所,专门对菠菜进行化验和研究,结果证实一公斤菠菜竟然含有36克的胡萝卜素,并含有相当于两个鸡蛋的蛋白质和两个桔子的维生素。后来,她让厨师每天都给她做半斤菠菜,并把这个饮食习惯保持了多年。
Soong Mei-ling likes to eat vegetables, especially the spinach, also known as “the king of vegetables,” is more edible every meal.
