北京市三环路全长48.2km,上次大修时间为2003年。这条环路交通量长期处于饱和状态,路面状况老化破损日益突出,路况舒适程度也大幅下降,尤其西北三环路面残损最严重,破损率达55.56%。因此此次三环大修工程先修西北段,后修东南段。西北三环大修从丽泽桥北至三元桥西,全长23.13km,自8月9日凌晨起正式开工,工期约100天,全程夜间施工。
