荔枝是原产于我国南方的名贵佳果,其营养成分高,经济价值大,在国际贸易市场上享有很高的声誉.近十多年来,随着“农业学大寨”运动的深入开展,我省荔枝生产面貌发生了新的变化:新区迅速发展,老区进一步扩大;面积成倍增长,产量明显上升.目前栽培面积已达17万亩,跃居全省六大水果之首位.但是生产上也存在一些问题:不仅产量低,而且不稳.全省约有八万亩的适龄树未能正常结果.严重地影响了果区社员的经济收入,挫伤了社员种果的积极性.
