Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of ginkgo leaf dropping pills combined with hyperbaric oxygen in the treatment of acute carbon monoxide poisoning. Methods: 35 patients with acute carbon monoxide poisoning were randomly divided into two groups. Control group of 17 cases, routine treatment (2 ~ 4 weeks of hyperbaric oxygen + necessary glucocorticoid + Vitc); treatment group of 18 patients in the control group based on the treatment of oral ginkgo leaf pill, 5 capsules, 3 times a day, serving 30 day. The hospitalization time, admission intelligence score, neurological disability score, follow-up incidence of delayed encephalopathy and other indicators were compared. Results: The incidence of delayed encephalopathy was 9.0% in the treatment group and 24.2% in the control group. There was significant difference between the two groups (P <0.05). Discharge intelligence scores, neurological disability score were better than the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion: Ginkgo biloba pills combined with hyperbaric oxygen therapy can significantly improve the patients with carbon monoxide poisoning impaired senior neurological function, reduce the incidence of delayed encephalopathy.
