锌是生物组织中广泛存在的元素,它对生命活动有重要意义,尤其和雄性生殖功能关系密切。锌在精子细胞开始变态时出现,成熟精子含有较多的锌。某些鱼类在交配季节雄性生殖腺的锌含量明显增加,雌性生殖腺无此改变。前列腺和精液也有大量的锌。棉酚作为一种口服的男性节育药,对生精细胞有特异的杀伤作用,这已众所周知。那么,服用棉酚后雄性生殖腺的锌含量有什么改变?这个问题值得探明。已知某些女用口服节育药对体内锌有影响,了解棉酚对体内锌的影响就更有必要,但迄今为止尚未见到有关报导。
