At present, Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force's weapons and equipment only experience in the exercise. Therefore, in this sense, the current dispatch of troops to Iraq is actually an actual test and apparently there has also been a great gain in the national interest. According to the basic plan for sending troops to Iraq adopted by Japan at the interim cabinet meeting held on December 9, 2003, the types of weapons and equipment used to send troops only stipulate the general categories. For example: “The dispatch force may use less than 200 vehicles such as bulldozers, wheeled armored vehicles and light armored vehicles equipped with the necessary number of pistols, rifles, machine guns, recoilless guns and personal portable anti-tank missiles to ensure the security of the troops. Other equipment needed to implement support operations. ”
