全省棉花品种评选考察会议,从8月29日至9月7日历时十天。参加会议的有省棉科所、九江、宜春、抚州三个地区和五个主要产棉县种子站及有关单位负责同志,共十二人。会议的主要内容是:调查了解我省重点产棉县当前推广品种的分布情况和表现;评选鉴定各地当家品种、接班品种和苗头种;总结交流各地棉花提纯复壮的经验教训;讨论做好今年棉花的选留种和余缺调剂等具体工作。与会同志参加了省棉科所组织的对78—7棉花新品系生产示范现场的考察,并考察了九江、彭泽、都昌、波阳和高安等县的棉种场、科研所、生产队以及全国和省植棉劳模江善讲、徐积连、吴继成、文经珠等同志所领导的试验地和大田生产。一
